Elizabeth Mary De Carteret married Rear Admiral Sir William Symonds KCB, FRS, son of Capt. Thomas Symonds RN and Elizabeth Malet, on 10 March 1818 in Southampton. Elizabeth Mary De Carteret died on 21 September 1851 in The Refuge, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight.¹

     Sir Philip De Carteret Bart. was born in 1777.¹ He was the son of Rear Admiral Philip De Carteret and Mary Rachel Silvester.¹ Sir Philip De Carteret Bart. took the name of Cateret Silvester upon the death of his uncle Sir John Silvester. He died without issue on 30 March 1828 in Leamington, Warwickshire, of apoplexy.¹
