Henry Doyle Sewell M.A. and Edith Pierce Morgan. May Livingstone Sewell was baptised on 13 February 1877 at the Parish Church, Headcorn, Kent.2 She married John Cowper Knocker, son of Edward Newman Knocker and Emily Elizabeth Knocker, on 22 February 1896 in Holy Trinity Church, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, the ceremony was contucted by the Rev. Joseph Lanphier, assisted by the Rev. H.C. Knocker, brother of the bridegroom, and the Rev. D. Stather Hunt, Vicar.3 May Livingstone Sewell and John Cowper Knocker appear on the census of 1901 living at Simla House, Dry Hill Park Road, Tonbridge. John Knocker's profession is given as that of solicitor. The census also records three servants. Ann Funnell, nurse aged 23; Katherine S. Crowhurst, cook, 24 and Laura M. Meren, house parlourmaid, 19. May Livingstone Sewell died on 6 May 1961 at 14 St. Andrews Park Road, Southborough, at the age of 84 after a short illness.4 She was buried on 11 May 1961 in Southborough Cemetery.4
