Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Chisholm Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Koppel officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Monday at the Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Chisholm Cemetery.
Kathryn “Kathy” L. Sundquist, age 62, of Chisholm, went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 23, 2010. She was born June 29, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Harley L. and Charlotte M. (Hruska) Sewall. She was a 1966 graduate of Hopkins High School. She grew up in Hopkins where she met and married the love of her life, Bob, on March 29, 1969. She received her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State in 1989 and began her teaching career at the Vaughan-Steffensrud Elementary in Chisholm.
She and her husband owned and operated Kathy’s Hallmark from 1990 to 2006 in Chisholm. She was an active member of Chisholm Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed walking, garage saleing, teaching Kindergarten and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was devoted to the Lord and her love for prayer. She touched so many people with her love and her passion for the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband Bob; children – Angie (Casey) Miller of Britt; John (Angela) of Chisholm; Eric (Debi) of Hibbing; Chris (Shannon) of Chisholm; grandchildren – Avery and Wyatt Miller; Molly, Emma and Andrew Sundquist; Brook Carlson and Aja Vogel; Gabby, Eli, Jude, Noah Sundquist; great-grandchildren – Aubrey Vogel and Jayden Carlson; mother – Charlotte and Step-father – Mel Getten of Hopkins; brothers – Tom (Carrie) Sewall of Backus, MN; David (Sandy) Sewall of Pequot Lakes, MN; sisters – Lauree (Bob) Schmidt of Minnetonka, MN; Bonnie (Bob) Caliguri of Hibbing; Charlene (Tim) Murphy of Longville, MN; numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father – Harley.

He was with the Civil War Round Table of New Hampshire and was a member of Hooksett Congregational Church, where he was in the choir and served as a deacon. Mr. Sewall was an avid golfer.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Sewall of Garden City; a son, Ken Sewall (Michele) of Atlanta; daughters, Marilyn Novack of Fredericksburg, Va., and Lori Roukey (Tim) of Henniker, N.H; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.1

Lavena Wingate Sewall1

     Lavena Wingate Sewall was born on 26 December 1902 in Stratham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.1 She was the daughter of Frank Edson Sewall and Charlotta A. Cooper.1 Lavena Wingate Sewall married Herbert L. Drew.2 Lavena Wingate Sewall died on 28 May 1999 at Southridge Nursing Home, Biddeford, York County, Maine, at the age of 96.2

Lavena W. Drew, 96, formerly of Arundel, died Friday at Southridge Nursing Home, Biddeford, after a brief illness.
She was born in Stratham, N. H., a daughter of Frank and Charlotta Cooper Sewall. She graduated from Berwick Academy in 1920 and attended Bryant and Stratton in Boston.
She worked as an office clerk for Newichawaneck Woolen Mills in South Berwick for several years.
Mrs. Drew taught in a one-room school house in Berwick and taught typewriting and commercial subjects at Berwick Academy.
Along with her husband, Herbert L. Drew, she opened a homemade candy shop, Pine Cottage Chocolates in Arundel. She later worked in the packing room at Kesslen Shoe Shop and South Berwick Shoe Shop for more than 20 years.
She was a member of Kennebunk Baptist Church and the Seniors Citizens Clubs of Kennebunk and Arundel. She was also a member of the Animal Welfare Society of West Kennebunk.
Her husband died in 1963. A son, Donald Drew, died in 1995.
Surviving are a son, Maurice Drew of Arundel; a daughter, Eleanor Garnett of Arundel; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 p. m. Tuesday at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A graveside service will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday at Hope Cemetery, Portland Road, Kennebunk, with the Rev. Raymond Hill officiating.2

     Lawrence Jay Sewall was born on 26 December 1903 in Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota.1,2 He was the son of Albert Defiance Sewall and Dora Randina Belseth.1 Lawrence Jay Sewall married Sarah Daniels.3 Lawrence Jay Sewall died on 5 March 1989 in Holy Cross Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 853 and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Calgary, Calgary Census DivisionCounty, Alberta.4
SEWALL – Lawrence (Larry) Jay Sewall of Calgary, Alberta died on March 5, 1989 in the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary at the age of 85 years.
He was born at St. Paul, Minnesota, U.S.A. and came as a child with his parents to the Etzikom area in south east Alberta where they ranched. He later lived in the St. Paul, Milk River and Medicine Hat areas in Alberta before moving to the Brooks-Patricia area where he operated a mixed farm and ranch. He had been a resident of the Calgary area since 1960.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sarah, in 1979; two daughters, Lorraine Smith, in 1965: and Shirley Sewall in 1953: two grandchildren, J.J. Sewall, in December 1982 and Lorraine Sewall in October 1986; two brothers, Cliff and Bud; and three sisters, Sally, Lou and Dora Sewall.
Surviving are two sons, Jim Sewall (Patty) and Al Sewall (Royce), both of Calgary; eight grandchildren; 18 great­ grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gladys Sewall, Brooks; and a son-in-law, Ronald Smith, Turner Valley.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at Pierson’s Funeral Home in Calgary with the Reverend H.A.L. Sambell of Trinity United Church officiating. Cremation at Rocky View Crematorium.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Larry Smith, Darcy Foster, Loyal Whitney and Shane Sewall and great-nephews, Chad Sewall and Cliff Sewall and the eulogy was given by his nephew Thomas Sewall.3

Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D.1

     Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D. was born on 25 August 1907 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas.2 He was the son of Dr. Francis Bates Sewall and Mary Lee Goodrich.1 Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D. married Mary Eleanor Andrews on 9 March 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas.1 Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D. died on 12 February 1971 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, at the age of 631 and is buried on 16 February 1971 in Little Rock National Cemetery, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.3,4

LR Physician, Health Director Dies at 63
Dr. Lee Goodrich Sewall aged, 63, of 15 Pinnacle Point, director of Arkansas Community Mental Health Services and former director of the Veterans Administration Hospitals at Little Rock and North Little Rock, died Friday at Aberdeen, Miss.
Dr. Sewall had been named to the then new position of director of Community Mental Health Services in 1967. The legislature had transformed the responsibility for mental health in the state to the new agency.
Before that, Dr. Sewall had been director of the VA hospitals since October 1965.
Born August 25, 1907, at Marlin, Tex., Dr. Sewall was the son of the late Frank Bates Sewall and Mary Lee Goodrich Sewall. He obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, his medical degree from the Texas Medical School at Galveston and the degree of master of science in hospital administration from Northwestern University at Chicago. He interned and served residencies at Cleveland. He was certified by the American Board of Psychiatry.     
Before joining the VA he was in private practice at Waco, Tex. for four years. From 1938 to 1943 he was medical officer at the North Little Rock VA Hospital, later was senior medical officer at the VA Hospital at Fort Custer, Mich., clinical director of the VA Hospital at Lyons, N.J. chief of psychiatry and neurology at the VA Branch Office at St. Louis, chief of professional services at the VA Hospital at Salem, Va., and manager and director of VA Hospitals at Downey, Ill, Pittsburgh and Perry Point Md.
He also had served on the faculties of six medical schools, including the University of Arkansas School of Medicine.
Dr. Sewall was a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a service fellow of the American Medical Association and a member of the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry and of the American College of Hospital Administration.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the West Little Bock Rotary Club Country Club of Little Rock and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Andrews Sewall; two sons, Lt.(jg) Frank Bates Sewall with the Navy and Murphy Andrews Sewall of St. Louis.5
