     Dr. Lucy Ellen Sewall was born on 26 April 1837 in Boston, Massachusetts.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Edmund Sewall and Louisa Maria Winslow.1 Dr. Lucy Ellen Sewall graduated in 1862 from the New England Female Medical College and then pursued her medical studies in Europe.3,2 In 1865 she was Resident Physician at the New England Hospital for Women and Children, Boston.4 In 1870 her practice and home address are recorded at 8 Park Square, Boston. She died on 13 February 1890 at 151 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 525,6 and is buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.7

Infantry, he was discharged on 11 June 1865.5 Lyman Beecher Sewall married Josephine Augusta Harris on 16 August 1866 in Wesfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.4,6 Lyman Beecher Sewall and Josephine Augusta Harris appear on the census of 1910 at Montague town, Franklin County, Massachusetts, where his occupation is still that of a blacksmith.7 Lyman Beecher Sewall died on 18 July 1916 in Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts, at the age of 76. Frank J. Long, 20, of 61 Grand View Terrace, driver for Caruso and Cohn Co., Inc., wholesale fruit dealers of 68 Grand Street, said he was driving north in Broadway when he observed a group of women standing near a safety zone.
As he approached, he said, one stepped in front of the truck and was struck by the right front bumper. Long was released on order of Coroner Hein.
Miss Sewall resided at the Western Avenue address with two sisters, the Misses Jennie and Florence Sewall.5
