BROCKTON, May 2 - Nathan Hayward, 74, life-long resident of the city and for more than a generation one of the leading real estate operators here, with extensive personal holdings, died today at nis home, 20 Highland terrace, after being, stricken during the night, following a normal day passed in attending to business affairs.
He was a member of the Commercial Club and for years was a leading bowler there.
Besides a wife, Mrs Jennie Sewell Hayward, he leaves two daughters, Mrs Helen D. Keith of California and Miss Eleanor Hayward of this city, and two sons, N. Cary Hayward of Braintree and Sumner Hayward of Ridgewood, N J. He also leaves six grandchildren and four sisters.6

Mrs. Elizabeth Hazen Quanz died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry N. Eyre, Hilltop Place, following a short illness. She was eighty-seven years old.
Mrs. Quanz had been a well known resident of Rye for more than twenty years and was a member of Christ's Church. She was the widow of the late Anton Joseph Quanz. She was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Calvin Tracy Hazen and Clara Barnes.
Besides her daughter, with whom she made her home she is survived by a sister, Mrs. C.H.S. Littleton of Los Angeles, Calif., and four grandchildren, Elizabeth H., Shirley N.T., Jane and Henry N. Eyre, Jr., all of Rye. Funeral services were conducted from her daughter's home on Hilltop Place, Wednesday morning by the Rev. Wendell Phillips, rector of Christ's Church. Interment was at the family plot in Green Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn. Committal services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Phillips.3
