     Katharine Hartwell Austin was born on 22 May 1913 in Vermont.¹ She was the daughter of Roswell Mears Austin and Katharine Mussey Sewall.¹ Katharine Hartwell Austin married Lawton Parker Greenman Peckham on 20 August 1938 in St Albans, Franklin County, Vermont.²

     Lydia Austin is also recorded as Lydia Littlefield.¹ She married Capt. Samuel Storer before 1690 in Charlestown.¹

     Martha Austin was born in 1863 in Andover.² She was the daughter of Frank Austin. Martha Austin married Charles Chandler Blake, son of Thomas Blake and Caroline Sewall, on 13 August 1882 in Northfield, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.^1,2

     Roswell Mears Austin was born on 23 September 1887 in Highgate, Vermont.² He was the son of Chauncey G. Austin and Anne Matilda Robinson.¹ Roswell Mears Austin married Katharine Mussey Sewall, daughter of Rev. John Ladd Sewall and Catherine Mussey Hartwell, on 18 April 1911 in Worcester, Massachusetts, at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by her father.^1,3 Roswell Mears Austin died on 1 February 1966 in New Bern, North Carolina, at the age of 78.²

     Roswell Mears Austin was born on 19 May 1923 in St. Albans, Franklin, Vermont.² He was the son of Roswell Mears Austin and Katharine Mussey Sewall.¹ Roswell Mears Austin died on 25 March 2012 at the age of 88.³

     Sarah E. "Sadie" Austin was born on 30 June 1862 in California.² She was the daughter of Holmes E. Austin and Melinda Harlow. Sarah E. "Sadie" Austin married Charles Milton Sewall, son of William Ripley Sewall and Mary Jane Fairchild, on 31 July 1905 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ Sarah E. "Sadie" Austin and Charles Milton Sewall appear on the census of 1910 at Taunton, Massachusetts, he is a carpenter in a machine shop and she is a teacher in a public school.³ Sarah E. "Sadie" Austin died on 24 August 1919 in Fairfield, Maine, at the age of 57.²

     William Morris Austin was born on 30 November 1875.¹ He was the son of Francis B. Austin and Mary North Weston.¹

     Dr. Francis Arthur Powell Aveling M.C.. Canadian psychologist and Roman Catholic priest.^2,3 He was born on 28 December 1875 in St. Catherine's, Ontario, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of William Arthur Aveling and Florence Elizabeth Powell. Dr. Francis Arthur Powell Aveling M.C. died on 6 March 1941 in Weymouth Mews, London, at the age of 65.²

     William Arthur Aveling was born on 20 December 1845 in Kingsland, Dalston, London.³ He was the son of Rev. Dr. Thomas William Baxter Aveling.⁴ William Arthur Aveling married Florence Elizabeth Powell, daughter of John Powell and Eleanor Drean, on 5 January 1875 in Merritton, Lincoln, Ontario.⁵ William Arthur Aveling died on 2 September 1876 in Lincoln, Ontario, at the age of 30, of typhoid.⁶

     Charles Sewall Averill was born in 1821 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Lt. Thomas Averill and Rachel Sewall.¹ Charles Sewall Averill died on 11 January 1897 in Lynn, Massachusetts,³ and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

     Charlotte Averill was born on 23 July 1900 in Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.² She was the daughter of Jesse Howes Averill and Charlotte R. Keith. Charlotte Averill married Nathan Cary Hayward, son of Nathan Hayward and Jennie Milton Sewall, in 1923.¹ Charlotte Averill died on 21 July 1981 in Santa Clara, California, at the age of 80.³

     Rachel Averill was born in 1819 in Alna, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Lt. Thomas Averill and Rachel Sewall.¹ Rachel Averill died on 12 August 1821 in Alna, Maine.¹

     Rachel Averill was born on 1 April 1823 in Alna, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Lt. Thomas Averill and Rachel Sewall.¹ Rachel Averill married firstly Rufus Kendall Cummings in 1844 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.² Rachel Averill married secondly George Ropes Holmes.¹ Rachel Averill died on 3 May 1910 in Readfield, Kennebec County, Maine, at the age of 87³ and is buried in the Readfield Corner Cemetery, Readfield, Kennebec County, Maine.^4,5

     Lt. Thomas Averill was born in 1785 in Alna, Lincoln County, Maine.^1,2 The marriage intention of Lt. Thomas Averill and Rachel Sewall, daughter of Theodore Sewall and Olive Beal, was published on 12 December 1813.¹ Lt. Thomas Averill died on 15 October 1823¹ and is buried in Alna cemetery. Near the old church.¹ He served in the war of 1812.¹

     Thomas William Averill. Merchant of Tennessee.² He was born on 26 April 1816 in Alna, Lincoln County, Maine.³ He was the son of Lt. Thomas Averill and Rachel Sewall.¹ Thomas William Averill married Lydia Lincoln Souther, daughter of John Souther, in September 1838 in Quincy, Massachusetts.² Thomas William Averill died on 28 October 1856 in Bolivar, Tennessee, at the age of 40.³

     Ethel May Avery was born on 1 January 1870 in New York; like her husband's birth dates her dates also vary considerably in the several census.¹ She married firstly Frank Stone circa 1897 in California.² Ethel May Avery married as her second husband Charles Dudley Sewall, son of Henry Sewall and Harriet Virginia Smith, after 30 October 1902 In the licence to marry she is named as Mrs. Ethel Stone.^3,4 Ethel May Avery and Charles Dudley Sewall appear on the census of 1910 at Louise Street, Oakland, California, he is then a Collector on the railroad.³ Ethel May Avery and Charles Dudley Sewall appear on the census of 1930 at Louise Street, Alameda, Oakland, California, and shows him employed as a custodian at a club house.⁵ Ethel May Avery died on 9 January 1940 in Oakland, Alameda County, California, at the age of 70.^1,6

     Dr. Jonathan Avery was born on 7 March 1653 in Dedham, Massachusetts.² He married Sybil Sparhawk, daughter of Nathaniel Sparhawk and Patience Newman, on 22 July 1679.³ Dr. Jonathan Avery died before 1708.¹
