Detective Capt. Marshall C. Scrafford said one of the men admitted striking Gaeng, who had tried to stop a street fight in which the suspect was involved. Gaeng is survived by his widow. Mrs. Helene Gaeng, 333 Summit Ave. N. The body is at the Bonney-Watson Mortuary.3
