Mrs. Mary Darracott Sewall, widow of Harry B. Sewall, former executive of the Puget Sound Power & Light Co., died yesterday in a hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Sewall, who had lived here since 1927, was active in church, social and charitable organizations. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany and St. Cecilia's Choir Guild of the church. She was a former board member of the English-Speaking Union.
Mrs. Sewall also was a member of the Seattle Tennis Club, the Washington Athletic Club, the Olive Roberts Guild of the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital and the Seattle Day Nursery.
Born and educated in Richmond. Va., Mrs. Sewall came West in 1919. She came here from Portland, Ore. She lived at 1228 E. Crockett St.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary P. Clake, Seattle; four brothers, William Darracott, Vallejo, Calif; Clements C. Darracott, Richmond; Thomas P. Darracott, Washington, N.C., and Walter Darracott, Al­buquerque, N.M., and two grandsons, Sewall and Christopher Clake, both of Seattle. Mr. Sewall died in December, 1954.6
