     Frances Eileen Maud Cox was born on 30 October 1896 in 11 Prospect Road, Chatham, Kent.¹ She was the daughter of Lt. Col. St. John Augustus Cox C.M.G., O.B.E. and Charlotte Emily Matilda (Unknown).²

     Frances Zébée Rosamond Cox was born on 9 August 1862 in Pater, Pembroke, Wales.^2,3 She was the daughter of Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE and Zébée Helen Amilia Jessie Symonds.² Frances Zébée Rosamond Cox was christened on 23 September 1862 at St. Peter's, Southampton.⁴ She died on 18 October 1927 in Monford House, Exeter, at the age of 65, spinster.

Miss Frances Zebee Rosamond Cox, of Monford House, Exeter, who died intestate on October 18, daughter of the late Major-General Francis Edward Cox. R.E., left estate of the gross value of £1,024 with net personality £684. Letters of administration have been granted to her sister, Mrs. Felicia Lucinde Emily Nash, of The Priory, Ringmore, Teignmouth, one of the persons entitled to a share in the estate.      Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE was born on 7 September 1827.² He was the son of Samuel Fortnom Cox and Mary Emily Sheffield. Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE was christened on 11 October 1827 at St. Mary's, Marylebone Road, London.² On 6 August 1846 he entered military service as a 2nd Lieutenant. He held regimental ranks of Lieutenant, 20 February 1847; 2nd. Captain, 1 April 1855; Captain, 28 November 1859; Lt. Colonel, 19 June 1872; Colonel 18 January 1882 and Army ranks of Major, 26 April 1859; Lt. Colonel, 4 June 1870, Colonel 19 June 1877; Major General 9 September 1885. He saw war service in the Indian Mutiny, 1857-1858 and retired from the Royal Engineers on 7 September 1885 with an annuity and honourary rank. He married Zébée Helen Amilia Jessie Symonds, daughter of Admiral Thomas Edward Symonds and Lucinde Marie Louise Antoinette Touzi, on 5 September 1861 in Hordle Church, Lymington, Hampshire, the marriage was conducted by the Rev. Clement H. Gosset, rector of Langton Herring, Dorset, assisted by the Rev. Lewis Campbell, vicar of Milford.³ Francis's death was registered in the quarter ending June 1904 in the Christchurch, Dorset, registration district.⁴

     Francis Forster Fortnom Cox was born on 7 October 1905.¹ He was the son of Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. and Ethel Sophie Armstrong. Francis Forster Fortnom Cox was gazetted on 5 February 1926, to the Leicester Regiment.² He died on 27 March 1931 in Dehre Dun (Dehradun), India, at the age of 25 of septic pneumonia.¹

     Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. was born on 29 October 1863.^1,2 He was the son of Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE and Zébée Helen Amilia Jessie Symonds.^1,2 Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. was christened on 8 December 1863 at St. Mary's Church, Portsea, Hampshire.³ He was commissioned as a Lieutenant with seniority from 6 February 1884.⁴ The marriage of Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. and Ethel Sophie Armstrong was registered in the quarter ending December 1903 in the South Shields registration district.⁵ He transferred from the Oxford Light Infantry into the Indian Army (72 Punjabis.)⁶ Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. died on 16 November 1928 in 18 Kidbrook Grove, Blackheath, at the age of 65.⁷

     Lieut-Commander John Mark Symonds Cox DSC was born on 15 December 1908 in Rangoon, Bengal, India.¹ He was the son of Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. and Ethel Sophie Armstrong.² Lieut-Commander John Mark Symonds Cox DSC was baptised on 4 January 1909 at Rangoon, Bengal.¹ On 8 June 1940 he was awarded the bar to his Distinguished Service Cross for good services in the withdrawal of troops to England from Dunkirk.³ He died on 15 March 1941 at the age of 32 when the Halcyon-class minesweeper he commanded, HMS Britomart, was bombed in Rye Bay² and is buried in Plot G. 9. 23. Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery, Hampshire.²

     Leonard Cox. Architect. He was born on 5 July 1894 in New York.² He was the son of Keyon Cox. Leonard Cox graduated in 1915 from Princeton.³ He married secondly Lucy Sylvia Grinnell Van Rensselaer, daughter of Frederick Harold Van Rensselaer and Josephine Lucy Grinnell, on 1 July 1931 in Manhattan.¹ Leonard Cox died in August 1963 in Virgin Islands at the age of 69.⁴

     Mary E. (Mollie) Cox was born on 29 April 1878 in Wilmington Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Holland W. Cox and Viola Humphrey. Mary E. (Mollie) Cox married Walter Clement Sewall, son of Clement Singree Sewall and Minerva Ann Miller, on 4 March 1908 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.² Mary E. (Mollie) Cox died on 18 July 1958 in Jameson Hospital, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at the age of 80¹ and is buried in Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.³

     Pauline Louise Cox was born on 8 August 1891 in Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts.² She married Luther William Packard in 1922.¹ Pauline Louise Cox died on 14 January 1976 at the age of 84² and is buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.³

     Lt. Col. Peter St. John Cox was born on 22 July 1906 in Quetta, Bengal, India.^1,2 He was the son of Lt. Col. St. John Augustus Cox C.M.G., O.B.E. and Charlotte Emily Matilda (Unknown).^3,2 Lt. Col. Peter St. John Cox was baptised on 16 September 1906 at Quetta, Bengal.² Peter's death was registered in the quarter ending March 1985 in the Surrey registration district.¹

     Redella Ann Cox was born in Canada.² She married William Wallace Gilchrist.¹

     Samuel Fortnom Cox. Captain, Royal Life Guards. He was born on 21 September 1795 in Bombay?, India.¹ He married Mary Emily Sheffield, daughter of Robert Sheffield, on 28 May 1820 in St. Marylebone, London.² Samuel Fortnom Cox died on 22 November 1849 in Sandford Park, Oxfordshire, at the age of 54.³

     Rev. Samuel Hanson Cox was born on 25 August 1793 in New Jersey.¹ He married Abiah Hyde Cleveland, daughter of Rev. Aaron Porter Cleveland and Elizabeth Clement. Rev. Samuel Hanson Cox died on 2 October 1880 in Westchester County, New York, at the age of 87.¹

St. John Augustus Cox C.M.G., O.B.E. died on 11 April 1936 in 12 Honywood Road, Colchester, Essex, at the age of 65.⁶ Late The Royal Warwickshire Regiment and The Royal Irish Regiment.¹

     Susan Eva Cox was born on 3 June 1837 in Illinois.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jesse Cox. Susan Eva Cox married William Winter Sewall, son of William Sewall and Elizabeth Ward Middleton, on 4 December 1858 in Virden, Macoupin County, Illinois.³ Susan Eva Cox and William Winter Sewall appear on the census of 1880 at Virden, Macoupin, Illinois, together with their children, where he is described as the proprietor of a flour mill.² Susan Eva Cox died on 19 April 1903 in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri, at the age of 65¹ and is buried in Park Cemetery, Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri.⁴

     Thomas Cox was born circa 1869.¹ He was the son of Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE and Zébée Helen Amilia Jessie Symonds.¹ Thomas Cox died young; not recorded with his mother in the 1881 Census.¹

     Virginia Roberts Cox was born on 18 August 1883 in Missouri.¹ She married Rockwell Smith Brank, son of Rev. Robert Garland Brank and Ruth Ann Smith.¹ Virginia Roberts Cox died on 12 February 1951 in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California, at the age of 67.^1,2

     Walter Charles Edward Cox was born on 15 August 1867? In St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Maj. Gen. Francis Edward Cox RE and Zébée Helen Amilia Jessie Symonds.¹ Walter's death was registered in the quarter ending March 1899 in the Maidenhead, Berkshire, registration district he d.s.p.³

     Zébée Lucinde Mary Cox was born on 3 March 1907 in County Durham the birth was registered in the district of South Shields.¹ She was the daughter of Brigadier-General Francis William Henry Cox C.B., C.I.E. and Ethel Sophie Armstrong.² The marriage of Zébée Lucinde Mary Cox and Brigadier Hugh Fitzgerald Hutchinson was registered in the quarter ending September 1939 in the Chelsea registration district. Zébée Lucinde Mary Cox died on 24 October 1977 at the age of 70.¹

     Charles William Hylton Coxwell. Furrier and hatter.¹ He was born on 20 January 1850 in Ontario.² He was the son of William Henry Coxwell and Mary Sophia Powell. Charles William Hylton Coxwell married Bridget Helen Hahasey, daughter of Michael Hahasey, on 10 October 1874 in Toronto.³ Charles William Hylton Coxwell died on 13 July 1925 in Toronto at the age of 75.⁴

     Edward F. Coxwell. Painter.¹ He was born circa 1848 in Ontario.² He was the son of William Henry Coxwell and Mary Sophia Powell. Edward F. Coxwell married Margaret Rousseau on 18 July 1870 in Niagara, Ontario.^3,2 Edward F. Coxwell died on 15 February 1918 in Toronto, Ontario.⁴

     Elizabeth Coxwell was the daughter of William Henry Coxwell and Mary Sophia Powell.¹

     Henrietta Augusta Coxwell was the daughter of William Henry Coxwell and Mary Sophia Powell.

     Hester Isabella Catherine Coxwell was the daughter of William Henry Coxwell and Mary Sophia Powell. Hester Isabella Catherine Coxwell married firstly Hugh Alexander.

     Hylton Coxwell was born on 12 February 1877 in Ontario.^1,2 He was the son of Charles William Hylton Coxwell and Bridget Helen Hahasey. Hylton Coxwell married Violet Loes Plummer on 25 June 1914 in Campbellford.³
