     Howard Chandler Clapp was born on 11 August 1841.¹ He was the son of Julius R. Clapp and Eleanor Milton Howard.¹ Howard Chandler Clapp died on 23 March 1843¹ and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.²

     Julius R. Clapp was born on 8 December 1808 in Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts.² He married Eleanor Milton Howard, daughter of Nehemiah Milton Howard and Eleanor Howard Sewall, on 5 September 1839 in Muscogee County, Georgia.^1,3 Julius R. Clapp died before 1880.

     LeRoy Howard Clapp was born on 28 October 1893.² He was the son of George Milton Clapp and Florence M. Dillard.¹ LeRoy Howard Clapp died on 21 February 1918 in Camp Dix, New Jersey, at the age of 24¹ and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.²

     Mary Eleanor Clapp was born circa 1890.¹ She was the daughter of George Milton Clapp and Florence M. Dillard.¹ Mary Eleanor Clapp died on 21 February 1918.¹

     Mary Jane Gray Clapp was born on 22 October 1802 in Portland, Maine.² She was the daughter of Hon. Asa Godfry Clapp and Elizabeth Williams Quincy.¹ Mary Jane Gray Clapp married Andrew L. Emerson on 16 August 1826 in Portland, Maine.³ Mary Jane Gray Clapp died on 19 October 1831 in Portland, Maine, at the age of 28.⁴

     Mary Taylor Clapp was born on 7 August 1850.¹ She was the daughter of Julius R. Clapp and Eleanor Milton Howard.¹ Mary Taylor Clapp died on 12 February 1858 at the age of 7¹ and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.²

     Sewell Flournoy Clapp was born on 4 July 1854.¹ He was the son of Julius R. Clapp and Eleanor Milton Howard.¹ Sewell Flournoy Clapp died in May 1877 at the age of 22.² He was buried on 8 May 1877 in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia, the gravestone is simply inscribed Sewell and Lula.²

     Sue Allen Clapp was born circa 1920 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Brainard Kivlin Clapp and Gertrude Hall.¹

     Alionore de Clare was born in 1292. She was the daughter of Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Hertford and Joan of England.¹ Alionore de Clare married firstly Hugh le Despencer, "the younger" Lord Despencer, son of Sir Hugh le Despencer, "the Elder" Earl of Winchester, after 14 June 1306.¹ Alionore de Clare died on 30 June 1337.

     Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Hertford and Gloucester was born say 1180.² He was the son of Richard de Clare Earl of Hertford and Amice fitz Robert, Countess of Gloucester.³ Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Hertford and Gloucester married Isabel Marshal on 9 October 1217.² Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Hertford and Gloucester died on 25 October 1230 in Penrose, Brittany.²

     Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Hertford married Joan of England, daughter of King Edward I, called Longshanks and Eleanor of Castile,, on 30 April 1290 in Westminster Abbey.

     Isabel de Clare was born on 2 November 1226.¹ She was the daughter of Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Hertford and Gloucester and Isabel Marshal.¹ Isabel de Clare married Sir Robert le Brus, Lord of Anandale, son of Robert le Brus, "The Noble" Lord of Annandale and Isabella "the Scot" of Huntingdon,.² Isabel de Clare died in 1254.²

     Richard de Clare Earl of Hertford was the son of Roger de Clare Earl of Hertford and Maud de St. Hilary.¹ Richard de Clare Earl of Hertford married Amice fitz Robert, Countess of Gloucester, daughter of William fitz Robert Earl of Gloucester and Hawise de Beaumont.¹ Richard de Clare Earl of Hertford died on 30 October 1217.¹

     Roger de Clare Earl of Hertford married Maud de St. Hilary,, daughter of James de St. Hilary,.¹

     Elizabeth Clarell was the daughter of Sir Thomas Clarell.² Elizabeth Clarell married Sir John Gresley of Drakelow and Colton circa 1410 Erdswicke calls her Mary.^2,1,3,4
