WATERVILLE - Ann (Van Ness) Merriam, 94, a former resident of Prospect Harbor, died May 21, 1986. at a Waterville nursing home after a long illness. She was born in San Francisco, Calif., Aug. 20. 1891, the daughter of Thomas and Addie (Sewell) Van Ness. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll F. Merriam, who passed away Oct. 5, 1985. She is survived by two daughters, Ann S. Merriam of Philadelphia. Pa., and Constance F. Merriam of Sidney: one son, Thomas V. N. Merriam of Basildon, England: two grandchildren. By her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A memorial service will be held ot a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place at Mount Hope Crematory, Bangor.3
