He was the manager of the Texas Oil Company according to Sinnett however the Maine Biography describes him as the owner of the firm M.W. Sewall & Company, the largest and oldest concern in Bath, dealing in coal, wood, ice and petroleum. The firm employed more than a score of hands and had a capacity of 78,000 tons of coal in its bins and motot trucks.1,2 Mark Warren Sewall was born on 26 January 1867 in Bath, Maine.2,3 He was the son of Edward Sewall and Sarah Elizabeth Swanton.1 Mark Warren Sewall married Rachel F. Thompson, daughter of Joseph A. Thompson, on 1 January 1890 in Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine.2,4 Mark Warren Sewall and Rachel F. Marshall Christopher Sewall was born on 3 December 1908 in Los Angeles County, California.1,3,4 He was the son of Frank Lewis Sewall and Julia Griffin.1 Marshall Christopher Sewall graduated in 1930 from University of California, California, and the Harvard School of Business Administration in 1932.2,5 He married Elmina Brewster, daughter of Frederick Foster Brewster and Margaret Fitch, say 1937.2 At the time of his engagement he was working for the Compton Advertising Company of New York though by the date of his second marriage he was vice president of the Corrosite Corporation, manufacturers of plastic paint, in New York.2,6 Marshall Christopher Sewall and Elmina Brewster were divorced before October 1949.7 Marshall Christopher Sewall married secondly Sarah Woodward, daughter of William Woodward and Elsie Ogden Cryder, on 11 October 1949 in 9 East Eighty-sixth Street, New York.6 Marshall Christopher Sewall died in September 1983 in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 74.8 The funeral of Marshall Christopher Sewall took place on 22 September 1983 at Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel, Orlando, Florida.8 He owned the yacht Marquesa and was a memeber of the New York Yacht Club and the Far East Yacht Racing Association. In his retirement he farmed and grew citrus fruit.8

Martha Elizabeth Sewall was born on 18 May 1858 in Burlington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Sewall and Elizabeth H. Brown.1 In 1876 appointed School Superintendent for Burlington although but eighteen years of age.2 Martha Elizabeth Sewall married Thomas Sullivan Curtis, son of Job Curtis and Mary Silobee, on 3 July 1879 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 Martha Elizabeth Sewall died on 27 April 1915 in at her home on State Road, Burlington, Massachusetts, at the age of 56.3 She was an authority on genealogy and history and wrote a history of Burlington Congregational Church. She had previously run a stenography bureau in Boston employing about twenty girls.3

Nathaniel Chapman, son of Joseph Chapman and Mary Moore, on 13 February 1822 in Chesterville, Maine, (Native ministry gives February 1821).3,4,2 Mary Sewall died on 17 September 1825 in Bristol at the age of 24.4,2 She was buried on 20 September 1825.4

Mary Sewall was born on 23 October 1799 in Augusta, Maine.1,2 She was the daughter of General Henry Sewall and Tabitha Sewall.1 Mary Sewall was baptised on 3 November 1799 at Hallowell.1 Mary suffered from a purported mental illness, her "derangement " took the form of running away to join the Shakers at New Gloucester, Maine. Her father and the attending physician, Issachar Snell, responded by confining her in a special chair and later in a bunk "with a lid to shut down", reducing her food, and drawing blood to alleviate her nervous excitement. She died six months later, after expressing her love to all her family and begging their forgiveness.1 She died on 15 March 1825 in Augusta at the age of 25.1,2
