Harold Cox Knocker died on 15 April 1945 in Christchurch, Hampshire, at the age of 75.

Sometime Vicar of Walton-on-the-Naze and later Rector of Great Yeldham and Rector of Great Hallingbury.6

John Knocker's profession is given as that of solicitor. The census also records three servants. Ann Funnell, nurse aged 23; Katherine S. Crowhurst, cook, 24 and Laura M. Meren, house parlourmaid, 19. John Cowper Knocker died on 24 August 1950 in 2 Garlinge Road, Southborough, Kent, at the age of 83.5 The funeral of John Cowper Knocker took place on 29 August 1950 at St. Thomas's Church, Southborough.5
